My love for science and physical movement has been lifelong for me. I spent 30 years in a professional career as a dental hygienist and a lifetime of enjoying dance and exercise as a way to keep me healthy. After retiring from dentistry I was ready for a new chapter and that is when I discovered the beauty of yoga therapy. Traditional yoga and modern science blended together, it was just what I was looking for! Yoga Therapy, the uniting of mind, body and spirit, and the science research that is explaining the things yogis have known for a very long time.
My personal yoga practice began at the local YMCA, purely a way to ‘exercise’ , but what I soon discovered was the magikal spiritual effect it was having on me and my life. Fast forward to today and I have discovered the power behind moving the physical body in certain ways to assist in healing and evolving the spiritual bodies. Yoga Therapy can do that for anyone! You begin with the breath, add gentle movement and challenge the body to expand and become stronger. I have seen this transformation in my personal life and the lives of so many others.
My favorite types of yoga to instruct and share is anything gentle. Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga, and Somatic movement. It is my belief that yoga is accessible to everyone and I cherish the opportunity to help those who think they are not capable of a yoga practice to get started. I love beginners! I also love moving energy as a Reiki practitioner and working with pure therapeutic essential oils to enhance everything in life.
